Choosing a service
For a quick screenshot, a tool with a desktop app, such as Gyazo or Lightshot, saves the most time. For images on a forum or website, pick a host that gives direct links and keeps files long term. For code and logs, a pastebin with syntax highlighting and a sensible expiry keeps things readable and tidy, and command line services let you pipe output straight from a terminal.
For anything sensitive, use a service that encrypts in the browser, set the shortest expiry that works, and remember that anyone with the link can usually see what you upload.
Every listing is researched from the service's own pages and shows the date it was last checked. Read more about this directory.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an image host and a pastebin?
An image host stores pictures and gives you a link or embed code to share them. A pastebin stores plain text, such as code, logs or notes, at a short URL, usually with syntax highlighting and an expiry option. Some services, such as Catbox, accept any file type.
Which services work without an account?
Most image hosts and pastebins in this directory let you upload without registering. An account usually adds a way to manage or delete uploads later, longer retention or extra features. Each service page shows whether an account is needed.
Are uploads private?
Usually not. Anyone with the link can normally view an upload, and public uploads may be indexed by search engines. For sensitive text, choose a service with end to end encryption, such as PrivateBin, and never upload passwords, keys or personal data to a public host.
How long are uploads kept?
It varies. Some services keep files indefinitely, some delete them after a period without views, and pastebins often let you choose an expiry time. Retention details are listed on each service page where the service publishes them.
Does uploader.co.uk host files?
No. uploader.co.uk is an independent directory that links to other services. It does not store uploads and is not connected to any of the services listed.
